Ambulatory Outpatient Surgery was established in May 2013. It’s equipped with state-of-the-art equipment (Karl Storz) from Germany and is located on the 4th floor of the Center. Ambulatory Outpatient Surgery was established for Lumpectomy, Mastectomy, Mastectomy with Breast Reconstruction and Nipple Sparing techniques as well for Gynecologic, Urologic, Orthopedic and Plastic surgeries and procedures. Abdominal surgeries are performed in open and endoscopic (laparoscopic) ways.
Surgical intervention with local anesthesia is performed to install PORT-A-CHATH beneath the skin for chemotherapy.
Daily between 5 to 9 surgeries are taking place and patients are sent home maximum within 24 hours with very few exceptions to keep them another day.
The Center’s surgeons received extensive surgical training at the major medical university hospitals in the USA and in Europe. Furthermore, annually 2-3 groups of foreign medical specialists travel to Armenia and work with the Center’s doctors.
The surgical staff members completely possess the techniques of endoscopic surgery and, using the latest German equipment, perform laparoscopic surgeries.
At the conference hall located on the 5th floor of the Wellness Center, round table discussions, scientific conferences, and symposiums are often held. Medical conferences sometimes accompanied by live surgeries.
